I said,
I don’t want a long distance relationship anymore.
I don’t want to talk to You on the phone
I want to talk TO YOU.
So I climbed up to His lap and sat there
and I whispered in His ear and told Him all the things I felt
and then He whispered back all that He felt.
There we sat, just me and Him. Whispering quietly to each other.
I pressed my ear to His heart and cuddled up more.
I didn’t ever want to leave.
He said, Don’t.
So I didn’t.
